The forward for Bayern Munich and the German national team was hurt during a German Cup match late on Tuesday against Preussen Muenster of the third level.
According to coach Thomas Tuchel, attacker Serge Gnabry of Bayern Munich will have surgery on his fractured lower arm on Wednesday and be sidelined for "several weeks" as a result.
The accident happened to Gnabry late on Tuesday during a German Cup match against Preussen Muenster of the third level. "It's sour. He is a key participant and a great character," said Tuchel, adding that he will "skip several weeks."
Gnabry will be forced to miss several of Bayern's forthcoming matches, including a Champions League group meeting away at Copenhagen on Tuesday and a Bundesliga away match against Leipzig on Saturday.
