Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Viswanathan believes the team should be able to maintain its consistency even after its skipper MS Dhoni departs.
The CEO of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Kasi Viswanathan, stated on Monday that the team is unmatched in terms of consistency and that it should be able to continue doing so even without its captain, MS Dhoni.
"How consistent you are ultimately determines your success in any sport. Nobody can match us in that consistency area. Consequently, we are satisfied.
"Up till now, it's been a fantastic accomplishment. Being so constant throughout is a very difficult thing to do. However, we ought to prosper and be able to do it in the years to come as well. That should undoubtedly occur. The team is shaped by its culture. He remarked at the India Cement Company grounds, "We are hoping that it would be on the right track.
Kasi, a fervent supporter of Dhoni himself who calls the World Cup-winning skipper "Thalaivan" (leader), chose simplicity as his best quality in the cricketer.
"He doesn't hold anything back. He talks about the experience. He offers them sound guidance. He enjoys the young people.
"We receive 15 to 20 net bowlers annually from different states. He accords the same priority to each and every one of those net bowlers as he does to the other players. He makes sure they receive the same amenities. He makes no distinctions.
"After the camp, he spends approximately 15 minutes with them right before they depart. He talks about how everyone performed and how they can do better. Everyone should value each of these traits, he continued.
Dhoni, according to Kasi, doesn't get in the way when he and others connected to domestic cricket offer suggestions on how to find talent. "We'll contribute our ideas. We have talent scouts on staff. We pay close attention to the homegrown talent. Many of the players have trained in this way for the team. Take Ruturaj (Gaikwad) as an example. All of them, from (Manpreet) Gony to Mohit Sharma, went on to represent their nation in sports. However, the domestic team is the only one to recognise such talent.
"Because Dhoni didn't have the time at the time because he was totally committed to playing international cricket. He'll let us handle it. He still doesn't get in the way of domestic talent today.
