Indian Football Calendar, Men: AFC Asian Cup, Merdeka Cup, Indian Super League lined up in 2023-24

Under head coach Igor Stimac, the Indian men's national football team has finally cracked the top 100 FIFA rankings after five years.

Up until August 2023, the Blue Tigers will have taken home three international championships, including the SAFF Championship, which they won over Kuwait in. With the Durand Cup, Indian football's domestic season got underway following the close of that international window.

Bengaluru FC won the Durand Cup, Mohun Bagan Super Giant won the ISL championship, and Odisha FC won the Super Cup during the 2022–23 season, which was the first time all the Indian Super League clubs participated in a full domestic season.




However, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) decided to drop the Super Cup this season and bring back the Federation Cup after a six-year absence.

The Federation Cup will become India's main cup competition beginning with the 2023–24 season since the AIFF executive committee believed it would be "prudent to revive a legacy competition" like it.

In addition, India, which has finished second in the Merdeka Cup twice, will compete there when it returns to Asia after a nine-year absence.
