Juve's greatest opportunity came early in the second half when Juan Musso of Atalanta saved Federico Chiesa's powerful shot.
15 minutes from time, Wojciech Szczsny, his rival, performed even better by tipping a beautiful free kick from Luis Muriel against the crossbar. The ball then fell and struck the custodian in the back before exiting the goal.
