Tottenham manager Postecoglou praises his team's "Son" for his heroics against Arsenal in their Premier League matchup.

Ange Postecoglou praised Son Heung-min, the captain of Tottenham Hotspur, after the South Korean's brace ensured the Australian manager's first experience with a north London derby finished in a 2-2 draw on Sunday.

As Postecoglou's team preserved its unblemished start to the league season, Son, who has taken on the role of captain this year, twice cancelled out goals from Arsenal.

Son has taken on the role of team captain for the revamped squad after Harry Kane, Tottenham's all-time leading scorer, left for Bayern Munich and Hugo Lloris was demoted.

The 31-year-old then came through on Sunday to raise his league total for the year to five, which is second only to Erling Haaland's eight for champions Manchester City.
Both as a player and a leader, he has excelled. Now that I've moved him to the position of nine, he simply works so hard," Postecoglou told reporters. His team has 14 points after six games. "What's best for the team is his first consideration.
And after putting himself in that situation, he possesses the ability to win. I'm overjoyed for him.

"Sonny, along with Madders (James Madison) and (Cristian) Romero, is leading that great environment with the players," I said.

Postecoglou is one of only four managers to accomplish that accomplishment, including Carlo Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola, and Craig Shakespeare. Tottenham has now scored at least twice in each of Postecoglou's first six Premier League contests.

"They are a tremendously good side, in my opinion. They have an excellent coach. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta remarked, "You can see the spirit in the players and the energy around them.

"But it's too early (after only six games) to say what they'll be competing for at the end of the season,"
