The batters from Nepal set T20I records for greatest total, fastest fifty, and fastest hundred.

At the current Asian Games cricket competition in Hangzhou, China, the Nepal men's cricket team created history by surpassing the highest-ever T20I cricket total.

In the Asian Games 2023 match against Mongolia, Nepal's batters broke three global records, making them the first team to score over 300 runs in a T20I on Wednesday. Left-handed batsman Kushal Malla, 19, beat David Miller and Rohit Sharma's previous record by scoring the fastest-ever T20I hundred in just 34 balls.

At No. 3, Malla smashed 12 sixes and eight fours while scoring 137 runs while remaining unbeaten, leading Nepal to their highest-ever T20I total of 314 for 3 against Mongolia, who elected to field. With a nine-ball fifty that broke Yuvraj Singh's 16-year record, their No. 5 batsman Dipendra Singh Airee also changed the record books.
