The 34-year-old condemned his omission from the World Cup squad as a "dirty game" but claimed he was ready to board a plane to India for his sixth World Cup.
The opening batter revealed on Wednesday that Tamim Iqbal withdrew from the upcoming 50-over World Cup due to an argument with a Bangladesh Cricket Board official. He called the exchange "a dirty game."
"I received a call from a board member at the highest level who is very active in our sport. If you attend the World Cup, he added, you must play the games while managing your (back) injury. The first game versus Afghanistan (on October 7) should therefore not be played, Tamim advised in a video broadcast on his official Facebook page.

"I responded that there are still 12–13 days until the Afghanistan match. My situation will be better in 12 or 13 days. Why not let me play? Then,If you play, you must bat lower in the order, he claimed.
I'm startled to hear this because, in my 17 years of playing, I've never batted down the order. Numerous things seem to be being forced onto me. I retorted, "Look, don't send me if you have such sentiments. This mess is not where I want to be. I don't want to participate in this dishonest game. You constantly force me to confront new challenges. I don't wish to remain here.
For his fifth World Cup, the 34-year-old stated he was prepared to board a flight to India.
Although 44 is hardly a high score, Tamim added, "I was quite delighted after that game for the way I batted. I had faith in myself.
