Following wrist and ankle operations, former U.S. Open champion Emma Raducanu admitted it was challenging to observe this year's Grand Slams from the sidelines.
Emma Raducanu, a former U.S. Open winner, admitted it was challenging to watch this year's Grand Slam events from the sidelines after undergoing wrist and ankle surgeries, but the 20-year-old is planning a comeback after falling outside the top 200 in the world.
After not playing since April and skipping the French Open, Wimbledon, and U.S. Open, Raducanu, who won her first Grand Slam victory in New York as an 18-year-old qualifier in 2021, has fallen to number 214 in the rankings.
The British woman claimed that following surgery on both wrists and an ankle, she began practising in August.

Since her victory at Flushing Meadows, Raducanu has failed to advance past the second round of a Grand Slam, and she has received much of criticism.
The former world number 10 remarked, "The fact that they're still talking about me even though I'm not at these events is just a compliment."
"Worry when they're not talking about you, someone once advised me.
Wimbledon has always been a childhood ambition. The ultimate dream is still to win Wimbledon.
