Men's 50m Rifle 3 Positions: Aishwary Tomar makes an incredible comeback to win silver.

Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar won the silver medal at the Asian Games 2023, and Swapnil Sunil Kusale placed fourth in the men's 50-meter rifle 3-Positions individual competition.

On Friday at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar took home the silver medal in the men's 50m rifle 3-Positions individual event, and Swapnil Sunil Kusale placed fourth.

Aishwary got off to a bad start, clocking two times under 10 and an 8.6 in the first set of kneeling. Aishwary, a shooter from the Madhya Pradesh Shooting Academy, had a successful series 2 comeback, scoring 52.0 points with a string of high 10s. With this, Aishwary has now garnered a total of 4 medals: 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze. Additionally, this is India's 18th overall shooting medal.

Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar played a key role in India's outstanding shooting performance at the Hangzhou Games.

Tomar won the men's 50m rifle three positions team event along with his partners Swapnil Suresh Kusale and Akhil Sheoran. 

With a combined score of 1,769 points, the three broke the previous record held by the United States by eight points. This success was a result of both their great teamwork and coordination as well as their individual talents.

In addition to this amazing accomplishment, Tomar and teammates Divyansh Singh Panwar and Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil also won another medal in the men's 10m air rifle team competition. In addition to winning India's first gold medal in the sport, the team also broke a world record. Tomar increased his collection of medals by taking home a bronze in the individual competition for the same category.
