Cricket's inclusion in the Los Angeles Olympic Games of 2028 has not yet been confirmed.
The LA2028 organizing committee meeting that was planned to discuss the potential inclusion of eight additional sports in the Olympics has also been postponed. According to a release, the IOC Executive Board will meet at LA28 to discuss the Olympic Games calendar.
The IOC executive board will decide soon.
The 2028 Olympic sports schedule will be changed later as a result of the delay. The executive board of the IOC, which has 15 members, will preside over the meeting. Thomas Bach, the IOC president, four vice presidents, and 10 other members will be present. The board intended to investigate the idea of adding additional sports in addition to cricket. Sports like motocross, karate, kickboxing, baseball, softball, lacrosse, breakdancing, and flag football are scheduled to make their debuts.
The 10C session in Mumbai in October will be required to fully approve or ratify the decision. This only occurs if the executive board agrees to include cricket in the Olympics. The International Cricket Council (ICC), despite the delay, is confident about cricket's inclusion, according to a media report.
